Porti Schmorti

Camper Side View

Hi, we’re Marie, Carla (my dog), and Porti Schmorti. The three of us are usually inseparable. We love spending lots of time outdoors and enjoy the flexibility of this little space wonder.

QUESTIONS

After a trip to Tuscany, I instantly fell in love with this little van – its compact shape, endless variations, and the unique charm of a true mini camper.

Fitting everything I wanted inside: bed, cupboard, sink, fridge, and even a dry toilet.

The dry toilet – absolutely essential!

The slatted frame keeps coming loose – next time I’d build it fixed and pull-out.

Sweden, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Belgium – and lots of festivals like Wacken! :D

Finding one that wasn’t completely rusted underneath!

It’s my daily city car and a camper at the same time – a real space miracle!

1. The check engine light is always on. 2. If it sits for more than 3 days, the battery dies – I disconnect it beforehand. 3. The electric windows are my favorite little luxury!

One day I want to drive my Porti all the way to Porto!

Be patient and check carefully for rust – it’s the biggest hidden issue.

The unused Omina oven

While traveling in Sweden, a lovely couple had to push me out of every campsite because I couldn’t get moving on my own – they became my unofficial co-pilots!
